MARKETING OUTREACH AND EDUCATION MANAGER

*This position supports Western Kansas Operations

$96,081.51 / year

We're hiring a Marketing Outreach and Education Manager to function as the Lead Instructor for Hospital Partners and GMR Operations in Kansas. This position instructs all levels of AHA education: courses in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that curricula are current according to national American Heart Association standards and current evidence informed practice.
  • Coordinates Program courses as assigned.
  • Provides supervision of skill labs and serves as a lab instructor as needed.
  • Maintains accurate records and files of courses, students, and programs.
  • Evaluates student progress periodically and provides feedback and counseling regularly. Documents problems as they arise.
  • Ensures that students are effectively evaluated following the AHA standards.
  • Provides a limited amount of tutoring as requested.
  • Teaches in other education programs as requested.
  • Maintains examination security by monitoring all exams and securing evaluation tools under lock and key (or electronic equivalent).
  • Remains current with state and local EMS requirements and accreditation requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains Instructor status for standardized courses as mutually agreed upon.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with hospital partners and EMS systems in the Program State.
  • Provide Outreach education opportunities to GMR field personnel when requested by clinical leadership.
  • Coordinate regular follow-up meetings with hospital partners and EMS systems contacts that we serve to maintain positive relationships.
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships within the organization based on experience and feedback obtained during the year.
  • Utilizes tact and appropriate problem-solving process when dealing with issues identified.
  • Relays concerns and initiates prompt problem-solving.
  • Interacts positively with staff members, agency personnel, and students.
  • Serves as an ambassador for all programs.
  • Uses discretion and maintains confidentiality regarding patient and agency personnel information.
  • Executes job duties to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Demonstrates an appreciation of cost factors in the routine performance of duties, maximizes cost efficiency, and implements resource management strategies.
  • Participates in the maintenance of Program equipment and supplies.
  • Responds and adapts to changing expectations and reprioritizes as necessary to expedite Program needs.
  • Assumes responsibility for effectively addressing issues and solving problems.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in handling situations not covered by written or verbal instructions.
  • Cooperates with intradepartmental problem identification and solutions.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a field or clinical setting as a Paramedic or emergency nurse.
  • Current Paramedic certification or Registered Nurse license.
  • Experience in supervision of instructional staff preferred.
  • Documented AHA teaching experience preferred.
  • The following certifications are required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment:
    • AHA BLS Instructor
    • AHA ACLS Instructor
    • PHTLS or ITLS Instructor
    • Instructor of PALS, PEPP, or EPC
  • Ability to develop and deliver educational presentations applying principles of adult learning.
  • Ability to develop products across many platforms: traditional delivery, use of learning management systems, and webinars.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with other employees, supervisors, and external parties.
