Senior Inventory Control Specialist

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Reporting to ALAM's Internal Controller, The Inventory Control Specialist/Analyst/Manager is responsible for, advising and guiding the Site Leaders and Plant Cost & Asset Controllers about best practices for inventory management. In addition the Inventory Controller will oversee the inventory count processes and results while driving continuous improvement through the direct engagement of Plant Cost & Asset Controllers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Inventory Control
* Oversee cycle counting program for ALAM Inc. globally, ensuring high levels of inventory accuracy and ERP data integrity for all direct and indirect materials
* Develop & refine cycle counting process for ALAM inc. globally
* Drive continuous improvement in cycle counting and inventory reconciliation processes to ensure timely completion and accuracy; work cross functionally to develop engagement and support
* Ensure operating systems are in place to effectively support the accuracy and efficiency of the transactions with the ERP system
* Measure and continually reduce material & inventory data integrity errors in the ERP system

Asset Management
* Support efforts to improve tools and processes to plan and track the fleets of resale assets & related components involved in the ALAM operations
* Drive continuous improvement and productivity projects to improve the operational efficiency and cost effectiveness of inventory & materials
* Oversee and conduct physical asset counts to verify control of inventory processes and identify areas needing improvement

Process Improvement:
* Lead and implement continuous improvement efforts throughout the global supply chain including, but not limited to:
New Process/Procedure development
Inventory Management and Control
Global Training Platforms
Metric & Scorecard development
* Develop scorecards and review/implement processes to achieve scorecard objectives.
Build systems to help capture metrics and automate scorecard results, utilizing existing tools where possible
Oversee the review and communication of scorecards to management to drive results

* Enable sites to drive efficient management of inventory

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business, or related
discipline
* 7+ years experience in supply chain management including supply chain planning
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated influencing skills to work cross functionally in a matrix environment
* Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft office applications including Outlook, Word,
and Excel
* Demonstrated excellence in analytical and problem solving capability, able to
deconstruct complex processes & reconstruct them with greater functionality & efficiency
* Extremely strong learning agility
* Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
* Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in chemicals industry
* Experience in or supporting electronics industry
* Strong ERP system experience

* Experience implementing new process & technology solutions
* Experience leading teams
* Experience with project management
* Lean Six Sigma certification
