THE JOB:

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager at Rivea, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a world-class restaurant offering French and Italian-influenced cuisine crafted by Chef Alain Ducasse. You will lead the front-of-house team, manage events, and ensure exceptional guest experiences, all while maintaining the highest levels of customer service in a refined atmosphere. THE DAY-TO-DAY:



  • Oversee and manage dining room operations, including setting up the shift, managing schedules, and supervising staff during service.
  • Coordinate GEO and BEO events, ensuring smooth setup, execution, and breakdown for a seamless guest experience.
  • Interact directly with guests, managing special requests, large party reservations, and VIP experiences.
  • Work with the Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and flawless execution of service.
  • Maintain inventory control for front-of-house supplies, such as coffee and light inventory.
  • Assist in the hiring process and provide leadership and feedback to develop a strong and effective team.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:



  • 2 or more years of relevant restaurant experience, ideally in fine dining or high-end hospitality environments.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Strong background in VIP guest service and experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • A keen interest in learning about the restaurant's French-Italian cuisine and menu, with a drive to grow and lead in the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to manage scheduling, inventory, and operational functions with attention to detail and efficiency.
  • A proactive, team-oriented leader who is eager to mentor and support staff, fostering a positive work environment.
