The Strategic Relationship Executive wins preference and specification by developing working relationships with key influencers within real estate, project management, design firms, etc.

Inside the Job
* Your day-to-day work will involve:
* For our key influencer communities (architects, designers, project managers, developers, etc.) develop and execute a strong business plan that turns into more preference/specification and closed MillerKnoll sales
* Educate these communities about MillerKnoll products and MillerKnoll's ability to address customer business needs and requirements; work to get our products considered by customers, spec'd, and ultimately sold
* Serve as the key point of contact in your market for these communities; develop/nurture these key relationships
* Create and maintain credibility, visibility and excitement about MillerKnoll among design professionals
* Influence the criteria that these firms use for the selection of product to be specified-responds to technical questions concerning product application.
* Develop strong relationships across MillerKnoll internal teams to ensure appropriate resources from MillerKnoll Marketing, Customer Care, etc. can best support the design community.
* Develop a process for measuring performance against the plan-directs implementation of pilot programs supporting A&D
* Maintain Salesforce (CRM) information so the sales leadership team can accurately communicate monthly forecasts of expected sales volume, by account, by product line.
* Participate as needed in client visits to enhance the customer experience.

What You Bring
Needed skills and experience for this role include:
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field preferred.
* 3+ years interior design or equivalent experience, combined with 2+ years direct selling experience
* Demonstrated willingness to learn selling skills, e.g. account penetration, strategic selling, conceptual selling, issues-based selling, consultative selling, negotiation and contracts (closing) as well as the ability to develop/cultivate business opportunities.
* Proven ability to network and build relationships with key A&D, Real Estate, Project Management, Design influencers.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to collaborate and negotiate.
* Innovative, self-starter with the self- confidence and ability to represent MillerKnoll in a professional, ethical manner to gain a high level of confidence from a diverse group of highly critical customers.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, at all levels of the organization.
* Proven success at building long term relationships with customers/partners and ability to establish relationships at the senior decision-making levels within an organization.
* Thorough knowledge of MillerKnoll products, services and culture, as well as the ability to distinguish MillerKnoll products/services from the competition.
* Ability to travel and perform other job duties as needed.
