The purpose of the Migrant Service Recruiter/Advocate is to support high quality, comprehensive, and collaborative educational programs for migrant children and youth. Two positions are available for this posting. EXPECTED OUTCOMES The expected outcome for the effort is to identify and address barriers so that migrant students fully benefit from the same free public education provided to other students, and to ensure that migrant students may meet the challenging Missouri academic content and achievement standards at the same levels as their peers. REQUIRED TRAVEL The Migrant Service Recruiter/Advocate is expected to travel up to 75% of the time to statewide meeting/trainings as needed, including weekly day trips, monthly overnight trips, occasional out-of-state conference trips, and as requested by the Heart of MO-RPDC Director. Shift
Monday-Friday 40 hours per week, 12 month appointment 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Some evenings and weekends as necessary. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Migrant Service Recruiter/Advocate will have the following education: Master's degree in human services, education, or a related field OR college degree and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience if approved by Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Anticipated Hiring Range
