The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the safety program and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. This role requires a strong focus on safety protocols and compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct safety training sessions and drills for employees.
  • Investigate and report on workplace accidents and incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Conducts risk assessments of capital expenditure requests, facility enhancements, and jobs hazard analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify areas for safety enhancements.
  • Conduct, lead, document, and manage the Safety Committee in safety, process, and quality improvements per established procedures.


QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge/Skills/Education)

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety coordination, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
