The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the safety program and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. This role requires a strong focus on safety protocols and compliance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Conduct safety training sessions and drills for employees. Investigate and report on workplace accidents and incidents and implement corrective actions. Conducts risk assessments of capital expenditure requests, facility enhancements, and jobs hazard analysis. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections. Collaborate with department heads to identify areas for safety enhancements. Conduct, lead, document, and manage the Safety Committee in safety, process, and quality improvements per established procedures. QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge/Skills/Education) Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, or a related field preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety coordination, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
