Job Description

Provides various student support activities. Develops, advises and implements specific services and/or programs designed to promote the effective functioning of students and/or student groups and contribute to the formal and informal educational environment within the university.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide executive administrative support to the Associate Dean of Student Affairs, with both internal and external partners.
  • Provide technical and clerical services to support student services, which may include reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and processing student data.
  • Assist with determining students' academic credit, admissibility, eligibility for degrees, scholarships and/or specialized designations.
  • Understand how the team integrates with others to accomplish team objectives.
  • Research and analyze atypical or complex data and prepare reports (e.g., budget tracking and expenses) noting key issues and patterns in data.
  • Complete assignments of varying degrees of complexity.
  • Solve problems and identify new, less obvious solutions.
  • Impact quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of the team through planning, organization, and coordination.
  • Use discretion and maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Recommend modifications to work practices and processes to achieve results and/or improve efficiency.
  • Explain detailed information and answer questions regularly and interact with both internal and external parties.
  • Review student records when necessary and forward information to appropriate staff.
  • Provide everyday support for all Student Services staff and student requests for documentation.
  • Plan key events for students and the College (Lighting of the Path, Award & Pinning Ceremonies) and assist with coordination of College of Nursing Orientations, Open Houses, Career Expos, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

40 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a university or college setting preferred.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Pay commensurate with education and experience.
Hiring Range: $18.50 - $26.34 per hour
Grade: GGS-8
