Neurology Job Description
The University of Missouri School of Medicine Department of Neurology Academic Neurologist - Movement Disorders The Department of Neurology at the University of Missouri - Columbia is seeking a full-time fellowship-trained Movement Disorders Neurologist to join our vibrant and growing multi-specialty Neurology practice. We routinely treat patients with Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, dystonia, and other movement disorders. This is an excellent career opportunity for candidates just starting their careers, as well as experienced candidates to join a thriving academic neurology department. Join our group of two Movement neurologists and two functional neurosurgeons as we expand our clinical offerings and practice models, and recruit clinician scientists. Clinical and some didactic teaching is expected, and the opportunity to precept in resident clinic is available. We also provide opportunities to participate in MER in the OR. Opportunity Details:

About MU Neurology: MU Department of Neurology offers comprehensive and multidisciplinary care in areas such as epilepsy, sleep disorders, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, comprehensive cerebrovascular disease, neurological intensive critical care, and headache. In addition, we have expertise in various subspecialty areas, including pediatric neurology, neuro-ophthalmology, neuropathology, neuro-rehab, and multiple sclerosis. In addition to clinical opportunities, NextGen Precision Health, MU Center for Translational Neuroscience and Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory offers a vast array of academic and research opportunities. Currently, there are established basic and translational research programs with 30+ clinical trials in Neurology. Minimum Qualifications: DO or MD medical degree; board-certified or board-eligible in neurology; residency trained; licensed or willing to obtain a license to practice in Missouri. Preferred: Candidates will be evaluated on: interest in general neurology and open to sub-specialty in MS, Headache management, Neuromuscular disease, or Dementia care. Application Materials
