$1,213 per 1 credit with upward adjustment for years of service at Marist College. Pay may vary depending on credits pertaining to online, graduate, music, or lab courses.

Job Summary:

The part-time faculty position in Chemistry involves teaching the General Chemistry II laboratory course, delivered in person. Teaching responsibilities include explaining chemistry concepts to students, conducting labs, grading assignments, and maintaining effective communication with students. Additionally, the instructor will maintain a strong online presence through the learning management system (Brightspace) by posting lab announcements, grading online assignments, and updating the online gradebook in a timely manner.

Must be available to cover 3 credit labs on Monday 8am - 11 am, and/or Friday 2pm - 5 pm in the Spring, 2025 semester.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in Chemistry or closely related field required.

Essential Functions:

Teach content in the field of chemistry and to assess students by grading exams and homework as assigned.
