Onsite - Cranberry Twp, PA - Only candidates in the local area will be considered. Work with a team of engineers to support the hardware design and delivery of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) cabinets and associated electro-mechanical hardware components and subassemblies. Ensure that hardware designs and project documentation meet applicable system & quality requirements. Work closely with manufacturing operations to resolve issues, provide oversight, and ensure products are in accordance with build-to-print drawing packages and specifications. Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority): Design and development of mechanical components and assemblies to ensure seismic integrity and ease of manufacturing. This includes creating 3D models and design packages for cabinets, internal custom metal work, fastener design and fabrication. Support the design of cabinet hardware electrical applications and assembliesManage Bill of Material and revision control of mechanical design packages. Compile technical and quality documentation for procurement, testing and manufacturing of hardware products. Work closely with manufacturing and outside fabricators to resolve issues, provide oversight, and ensure products are in accordance with build-to-print drawing packages and specificationsInterface with engineering organizations and third-party test facilities in conducting equipment qualification tests. Perform engineering calculations in support of design or analysis of products. Provide support to customers for installation and emergent technical issuesOpportunities to travel to customer and supplier sites (domestic and international)Execute assignments independently within project schedule and budgetary requirements. Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks. Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:Education Level (Degree, Area of Study) - Minimum Requirement:Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field Years of Experience (if applicable):0-3 years Professional Certifications:None required. Skills and Competencies: Experience with sheet metal design preferredKnowledge of AWS (or equivalent) welding requirements General knowledge of sheet metal weldingAutodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault (or similar) experience preferred Experience with Geometric Tolerances and Dimensions (ASME Y14.5) Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsStrong planning and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team including engineering, testing, manufacturing, supply chain management, and suppliers Highly motivated, self-starter.
