Job Summary:

The Espinosa and Sullivan labs in the Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome are seeking postdoctoral fellows. We employ an integrated approach including functional genomics, mechanistic studies, and animal research to make biological discoveries with clear translational potential. Our current work is focused on understanding how hyperactivation of interferon signaling in people with Down syndrome contributes to the clinical impacts of trisomy 21, including predisposition to autoimmune conditions, Alzheimer's Disease, leukemia, and protection from solid malignancies (e.g. Sullivan et al., eLIFE 2016; Waugh et al., Cell Reports 2019; Tuttle et al., Cell Reports 2020; Araya et al., Cell Reports 2022). We currently have numerous NIH-funded positions available. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a research project aligned with the overall goals of the team
- Designing and performing experiments
- Analyzing Data
- Contributing to the writing of grants and manuscripts
- Aiding in oversight of more junior team members

Qualifications:
|
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Ph.D. in immunology, neuroscience, developmental biology, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with molecular biology methods
- Experience with rodent models
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently within a research lab

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established by the NIH as HIRING RANGE: Postdoc 0 - $54,840 Postdoc 1 - $55,224 Postdoc 2 - $55,632 Postdoc 3 - $57,852 Postdoc 4 - $59,784 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
