About the Department

Perimeter College Department of Mathematics provides students with a strong foundation to transfer to a four-year college and continue into the work force or graduate studies. Math clubs and programs such as STEM or MESA help to increase academic performance. Students also have opportunities to compete in national tests sponsored by the American Mathematical Association and gain access to support from tutoring, scholarships and grants.

Position Description

Perimeter College is seeking part-time instructors in MATHEMATICS who will play a key role in educating and supporting students.

Required Experience

Required Education

To qualify to teach MATHEMATICS, applicants MUST have:

A minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

Teaching experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to teach MATHEMATICS courses on the collegiate level

  • Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods

  • Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology

Work Hours

Classes at Perimeter College are offered morning, afternoon and evening including weekends.

Salary $2601.00 for each 3 Semester Credit Hour course taught
