Looking for CDL A Yard Hostler jobs in Fontana where every mile matters? This opportunity puts your driving skills to work transporting goods safely, efficiently, and on schedule while supporting the businesses and customers that keep the economy moving. What You'll Do Operate a yard goat/hostler truck to move trailers throughout the warehouse facility and yard. Switch loaded and empty trailers between dock doors and designated yard locations. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Chock trailer wheels and maintain safe operating procedures at all times. Complete up to 60+ trailer moves per shift in a fast-paced environment. Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, dispatch, and supervisors. Identify and report safety concerns, equipment issues, or yard hazards. Experience Requirements Minimum 1 year of yard hostling experience within the last 3 years. Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card required. Experience operating a yard goat, terminal tractor, or hostler vehicle. Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a busy yard environment. Must be at least 22 years of age. Driving Requirements Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations, at-fault accidents, or a combination of both within the past 36 months. No DUI or reckless driving convictions within the past 5 years. Ability to safely maneuver trailers in tight spaces and congested yard areas. Commitment to following all company safety policies and DOT regulations.
