Looking for Seasonal Non-CDL Yard Hostler jobs in Fremont This opportunity puts your driving skills to work transporting goods safely, efficiently, and on schedule while supporting the businesses and customers that keep the economy moving. What You'll Do Safely operate a yard hostler/yard jockey truck to move trailers throughout the facility. Position trailers at designated dock doors, staging areas, and parking spaces. Couple and uncouple trailers, including connecting and disconnecting air lines. Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections. Follow all yard safety procedures and traffic patterns. Communicate with dispatch and yard personnel regarding trailer movements. Maintain an organized and safe work environment. Complete trailer moves accurately and efficiently. Experience Requirements Minimum 6 months of verifiable yard hostler, yard jockey, or yard goat experience within the past 3 years. Experience operating a yard hostler, terminal tractor, or Ottawa-style yard truck. Experience moving trailers in and out of dock doors. Ability to perform blindside backing safely and efficiently. Experience coupling and uncoupling trailers and handling air line connections. Familiarity with trailer staging, dock assignments, and yard safety procedures. Previous experience in a warehouse, transportation terminal, or distribution center preferred. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Driving Requirements Valid driver's license required (CDL not required). Good driving record with no more than 3 moving violations, at-fault accidents, or a combination of both within the past 36 months. No DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 years. Ability to safely maneuver trailers and yard equipment in congested yard environments. Must meet all pre-employment screening requirements.
