Overview Benefits Verification Specialist Location: Remote (Central Standard Time) Schedule: 10:30 am to 7:00 pm CST Compensation: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour. Verify insurance eligibility through payer websites, portals and direct payer calls. Minimum 2-3 years of insurance verification as primary responsibility in role required Excellent attention do detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in hospice or physician office benefit verifications. Demonstrate commitment to hospice & palliative philosophy of care. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate an ability to work closely with a variety of people while effectively using problem solving skills. Intermediate computer skills. Responsibilities: Interpret plan benefits for hospice and palliative care patients (e.g., Medicare, MA, Medicaid, commercial). Assist on reverifications throughout the month, ensuring our members are still active Work with the claims team on denials, corrections, and adjustments and reduction of bad debt due to policy limitation Why AccentCare?
