Position Summary:


This position will serve as the strategic account leader for SkyWater's key Quantum customers, managing and expanding relationships with some of the industry's largest and most innovative organizations. This role focuses on driving long-term customer success, overseeing large-scale development programs, identifying account expansion opportunities, and ensuring strong alignment between customer roadmaps and SkyWater's technology capabilities. Success will be measured through account growth, customer retention, program expansion, and strategic relationship development.



Major Areas of Accountability:



  • Serve as the primary business and relationship owner for assigned strategic Quantum accounts.
  • Develop and execute long-term account growth plans aligned with customer technology roadmaps and business objectives.
  • Manage complex customer development programs, ensuring successful coordination across engineering, operations, program management, and executive leadership teams.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing engagements through additional development programs, manufacturing services, and technology collaborations.
  • Build and maintain executive-level, technical, and operational relationships throughout customer organizations.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within SkyWater, ensuring customer requirements, priorities, and expectations are effectively communicated and supported.
  • Lead account reviews, business planning sessions, and executive engagements to strengthen partnerships and drive growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, statements of work, commercial agreements, and program expansion initiatives.
  • Negotiate contract modifications, renewals, and expansion opportunities that create long-term value for both the customer and SkyWater.
  • Track account performance, opportunity forecasts, customer satisfaction metrics, and strategic initiatives.



Required Qualifications:


Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Business, or a related field.


Experience:



  • 5-8+ years of experience in strategic account management, customer program management, business development, or related customer-facing leadership roles within semiconductor or advanced technology industries


Skills:



  • Demonstrated success managing and growing strategic customer accounts through executive relationship development, customer retention, and identification of account expansion opportunities.
  • Experience leading complex technology development programs and customer engagements, with the ability to align long-term customer roadmaps to business objectives while coordinating across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to executive, technical, and procurement leaders and effectively collaborate across engineering, operations, finance, legal, and executive teams.
  • Experience utilizing Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
  • As required for role: 10-30% Travel (depending on location.)
  • This role can be hybrid in our one of our three locations (MN, TX, or FL) with the prefrence being in MN.
  • U.S. Person Required: This position requires compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All accepted applicants must be U.S. Persons. ITAR defines a U.S. Person as U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.



Desired Qualifications:


Education:



  • MBA or advanced technical degree


Skills:



  • Experience managing strategic accounts within the Quantum Computing, Quantum Networking, Quantum Sensing, or Quantum Infrastructure sectors.
  • Prior responsibility for multi-million-dollar technology development programs or strategic customer partnerships.
  • Familiarity with superconducting electronics, silicon photonics, advanced packaging, cryogenic technologies, or related quantum-enabling technologies.
  • Experience working with government-funded technology programs, national laboratories, or defense-related technology initiatives.
  • Established network within the Quantum technology ecosystem.

The annual salary range for this role is $112,640 - $168,960. Pay offered is based on many factors, including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
