What You'll Do:

As a Shift Supervisor, you will perform the duties of a front line supervisor, be responsible for the safe manufacturing of TNT products and support the Graham, KY Plant according to Dyno Nobel Americas and plant policies and procedures. Other duties include:

  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety

  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulation.

  • Live and foster the Dyno Nobel Corporate Values

  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason when dealing with emotional topics.

  • Maintain good personnel relations by explaining company goals and policies.

  • Constructs work plans for the Emulsion workforce based on production plans and makes adjustments to plans as necessary.

  • Writes clearly and informatively; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.

  • Contributes to building a positive team spirit; able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; supports everyone's efforts to succeed.

  • Displays passion and optimism; inspires respect and trust; mobilizes others to fulfill the vision; provides vision and inspiration to peers and subordinates.

  • Builds positive relationships by listening, addressing concerns, feelings and communicating challenging but realistic performance expectations to move others to higher levels of performance.

  • Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization's goals and values.

We're Looking For:

  • Undergraduate Engineering Degree preferred

  • Experience working in a manufacturing chemical environment.

  • Ability to interact and discuss issues with regulatory compliance officials.

  • n Ability to provide direction and coaching to others in an effective leadership manner

  • nPrior supervisory experience preferred.

  • n Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration among all shift employees

  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.

  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player.
