Position Summary This position leads the planning and monitoring of supply to efficiently meet customer demand for a group of products. The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for creating a production schedule that meets customer requirements while considering available resources such as equipment, raw materials and staffing. The Supply Chain Planner manages the replenishment of all materials required to achieve the production plan. The Supply Chain Planner works proactively to identify risks and collaborates as required to ensure actions are in place to mitigate supply risks. An effective and efficient supply plan will consider the demand profile and supply chain variables to reliably achieve customer satisfaction, inventory and freight goals. Responsibilities
Qualifications Minimum of 1 to 3 years planning experience, preferable in a discrete manufacturing environment. Must have intermediate to advanced computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel in particular, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of ERP system for material planning and production scheduling. Experience with SAP strongly preferred. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in all deliverables and reporting. Experience with LEAN manufacturing and relevant concepts/methodologies. Strong problem-solving skills required with 6 sigma certification a plus Self driven initiative to manage multiple sometimes competing priorities and drive to achieve results. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
