The position will explore new methods of data inversion to create ERB products. They will also develop detailed, quantitative models for deriving the propagation of uncertainty from direct measurements to derived products. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be Your key responsibilities are to develop Libera Angular Distribution Models for radiance to irradiance conversion. You will also further develop Guide to the expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM) model specifically for the space-based measurements of ERB. and refinement of paper for peer review publication on the uncertainty in direct Libera measurements to footprint level irradiance. Finally, you will develop operation code for the Libera split shortwave radiance to irradiance retrieval and contribute to the Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document. Other duties as assigned. Background in space-based instruments or observations. Fluent in Python, Matlab, or IDL. What We Would Like You to Have A degree in Aerospace Engineering Science and a demonstration of publishing in peer-review journals and presenting at conferences.
