Responsibilities


  • Maintains production and quality requirements by performing troubleshooting, installation, routine maintenance and repair of mechanical manufacturing equipment.

  • Places daily parts orders.

  • Stocks and posts incoming orders.

  • Assists maintenance manager in processing weekly stock orders.

  • Notifies appropriate parties when special-order parts arrive.

  • Assists maintenance manager with inventory.

  • Compiles stock control reports such as consumption rate and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.

  • Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock or determine if part can be rebuilt.

  • Assist the maintenance team in keeping accurate inventory and labeling locations to make sure like parts are kept together.

  • Interpret diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

  • Travel to external suppliers to retrieve parts.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:



  • HS Degree or GED

  • 1-2 years experience in industrial maintenance

  • Industrial maintenance certification preferred

  • Ability to work independently of others (with limited supervision), as well as with a team to resolve issues.

  • Ability to communicate in English

  • Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred



Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:



  • May be required to lift up to approximately 50 pounds

  • Must be able to stand at work station for a long period of time

  • Must be able to use both hands in a repetitive motion

  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes and dust particles

  • Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions
