Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an Investor Relations Intern to join Cabot's Investor Relations team this summer. The Intern will gain exposure to both the operational and capital formation functions of Investor Relations, supporting activities related to investor reporting, fundraising, client service, research, and data management.

Working closely with members of the Investor Relations team and other departments across the firm, the Intern will assist with the preparation of investor materials, organization of investor and fund information, prospective investor research, and recurring and ad hoc projects. This role provides an opportunity to develop an understanding of institutional investor relations and fundraising within private equity real estate while contributing to the team's day-to-day priorities.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Investor Reporting & Client Service

  • Assist with the preparation and organization of materials used for quarterly and other recurring investor reporting processes.
  • Support the compilation of information for recurring and ad hoc investor and consultant requests.
  • Assist with organizing and posting investor communications and reporting materials to the investor portal.
  • Gain exposure to investor servicing activities, including capital call and distribution notices and other fund-related communications.

Capital Formation & Investor Research

  • Assist with the preparation and updating of investor presentations, marketing materials, and other fundraising-related materials.
  • Conduct research on prospective investors, consultants, and relevant industry trends.
  • Support the organization of materials and information used to respond to investor and consultant due diligence requests.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for investor meetings, roadshows, conferences, and other fundraising activities.

Data Management & Team Support

  • Assist with maintaining accurate investor, prospect, and fund information within the firm's CRM, investor portal, and other internal systems.
  • Support the organization and maintenance of fund data rooms and diligence materials.
  • Contribute to reports, trackers, and other tools used by the Investor Relations team to monitor fundraising and investor activity.
  • Partner with Investor Relations team members on special projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm and participate in team meetings to gain exposure to Cabot's investment platform, funds, and investor relationships.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in finance, economics, real estate, business, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in real estate, investor relations, fundraising, or financial services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Collaborative, resourceful, and self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
  • High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality as required and appropriate.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Internship conducted primarily in a professional office environment.
  • Frequent use of computers and digital communication platforms.
  • Limited travel may be required for property site visits or team meetings.
