Job Summary

The Investment and Asset Management teams at Cabot are directly responsible for the acquisition and operation of each property within our portfolios during Cabot's ownership period. The Transactions Intern will gain exposure to the full investment lifecycle, including underwriting, due diligence, and leasing. The internship provides the opportunity to report directly to the Vice President of Investments, and work alongside associates supporting investment officers and asset managers, contributing to real transactions while building technical and professional skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Investments Team

  • Assist with preparing cash flow models using Argus and Excel.
  • Support investment team in preparing summaries of acquisition opportunities for Investment Committees.
  • Conduct market research and tenant underwriting on both public and private companies.
  • Help review and organize investment due diligence materials.
  • Contribute to research on macroeconomic and market/submarket trends impacting Cabot's investments.
  • Assist with the buildout and enhancement of AI enabled research tools improving the teams analytical and data driven decision making skills

Asset Management Team

  • Assist in maintaining Argus Enterprise ("AE") cash flow models.
  • Help review abstracts of lease agreements for input into Cabot's accounting and lease administration systems.
  • Support asset managers in preparing lease transaction summaries and reviewing operating reports.
  • Participate in quarterly valuation processes and budgeting exercises.
  • Gain exposure to property operations by working with property managers and asset managers.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Strong academic performance and demonstrated interest in real estate or finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) required.
  • Exposure to Argus AE or financial modeling coursework preferred, but not required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively on multiple projects.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Internship conducted primarily in a professional office environment.
  • Frequent use of computers and digital communication platforms.
  • Limited travel may be required for property site visits or team meetings.
