Position Summary: Job Responsibilities: Responsible for coordinating a diverse portfolio of basic to moderately complex research studies conducted at the Medical Center. This position supports the successful planning, implementation, and day-to-day management of clinical and nonclinical research activities while promoting high standards of quality, compliance, and participant care. Key responsibilities include assisting with participant identification, recruitment, screening, informed consent, enrollment, and ongoing study follow-up. The role also supports grant and funding submissions, coordinates study visits and procedures, maintains regulatory and study documentation, and collects, enters, reviews, and manages research data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. When applicable, the position performs intraoperative monitoring and assists with the coordination of clinical trial activities, investigational procedures, and other protocol-specific requirements. The position works closely with Principal Investigators, research participants, clinical teams, sponsors, funding agencies, and other internal and external stakeholders. It serves as a key liaison with the Institutional Review Board (IRB), internal and external funding agencies, and study sponsors, helping to facilitate clear communication, timely submissions, regulatory approvals, study updates, and resolution of operational issues. This role helps ensure that research protocols are implemented accurately, consistently, and in accordance with approved study plans. Responsibilities include monitoring study progress, maintaining complete and audit-ready records, tracking recruitment and study milestones, identifying and escalating potential concerns, and supporting the timely completion of required reports and deliverables. The position is expected to conduct all research activities in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), HIPAA, institutional policies, federal and state regulations, sponsor requirements, and all ethical and professional obligations to research participants, Principal Investigators, research teams, and funding organizations. The individual must demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced research environment. This position works under general supervision while exercising appropriate independence in managing assigned responsibilities, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, addressing routine study-related matters, and escalating more complex concerns when necessary. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,299.99 - $66,300.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
