Job Description

The purpose of this position is to maintain a safe, clean, and accurate warehouse and shipping environment.

  • Must be able to perform the Work Instructions listed under Warehouse Tech.
  • Drives truck to and from outside warehouses.
  • Moves trucks on site as needed including Maintenance trailer and other trailers when full and replace with empty trailers.
  • Transport scrap materials and scrap regrind to and from outside warehouse as needed.
  • Conduct safety inspections as required such as fork lifts, dock boards, dock locks, chocks, lights, tractor and trailers.
  • Operate scanning and bar-coding equipment to obtain traceability.
  • Complete Driver's Daily Log for hours of service.
  • Must be certified to operate a fork lift under the Powered Industrial Truck Standard. Must have been trained and successfully passed the written test, performance evaluation and site certification.
  • Responsible for battery care to include charging and watering batteries and changing propane tanks as needed for procedure.
  • Perform all activities safely.
  • Promote plant goals such as safety, housekeeping, quality, GMP, AIB, ISO and SQF.
  • Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by management that the employee has been trained to perform.
  • Responsible for maintaining and adhering to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements.
  • Responsible for adhering to Food Safety Compliance.
  • Respond to any emergency or potential emergency.
  • Security diligence, including maintaining control of door accesses, preventing unauthorized entry to the facility by non- Amcor employees and proper maintenance/security of Berry equipment and information.
  • Constant vigilance and participation in GMP and SQF practices.
  • Assist in the prevention of nonconforming product from being shipped to customers.
  • Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality systems.
  • Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product or quality systems.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes or systems and very the implementation of solutions.

Salary Requirements: $30-$34/hr
