Description
Responsible for developing and managing strategies and objectives for the company's defined strategically important major customers, who have locations across multiple geographic territories. Utilizing the company's unique value proposition to implement and maximize programs, products and services that will result in the achievement of targeted net profitability, revenue, on-time delivery performance and quality performance results. Develop the corporate strategy with the Global Strategic Accounts organization and sales branches to position TTI as the preferred supplier for the defined strategic accounts within the territory and to work across regions to drive growth through other global TTI and customer locations. Our Global Strategic Team:
- Establishes and manages productive, professional relationships with and between key personnel of TTI, designated global accounts, and key suppliers.
- Develops and directs a team of Regional Global & Strategic Accounts Managers that are exceptional at optimizing both customer and supplier relationships, by hiring qualified people, utilizing effective communication and motivational techniques, providing ongoing performance management resulting in higher levels of performance and by providing effective training, development, and succession planning.
- Works with the SVP of Sales, SVP of Global Strategic Accounts and the Global & Strategic Account Managers to proactively lead strategic account planning that develops clearly defined mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
- Meets assigned targets for profitable revenue volume and strategic objectives and regularly reviews financial results and proactively takes action to meet defined goals.
- Leads solution development efforts that best address assigned regional and global account needs while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company resources.
- Working with the SVP of Sales and Regional Vice Presidents to identify new accounts for inclusion into the company's Strategic Account Program.
- Serves as a corporate resource to coordinate the involvement of global, regional and branch company personnel, including support, service, and management resources in order to meet account performance objectives and defined account expectations.
- Collaborates with Sales, Quote Resources team and Product Management to coordinate the development of an effective quotation management and process for designated accounts to maximize profitability and improve their conversion.
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with appropriate account personnel from our supplier community to enhance our position.
- Fosters customer good will/relationship development by hosting customer visits and tours to corporate facilities.
- Identifies trends and potential concerns with assigned accounts by pursuing resolution with appropriate personnel resulting in quick issue resolution and proactive customer service.
- Maintains market awareness on competitor activities, industry trends and new concepts
- by reading industry periodicals, networking, attending periodic update training events and trade shows which will ensure that the manager is adding value and is current on industry knowledge to aid in making informed decisions.
- Creates formal sales and marketing presentations by utilizing technical resources and corporate information for consistent company message.
- Assists the SVP Sales and VP Global Strategic Accounts with the annual budgeting process by giving input and projections on revenue, cost and expenses forecasted for the upcoming fiscal year.
- Responsible for developing relationships with assigned accounts management which will result in knowledge of competitive intelligence and "most favored" competitive positioning.
- Responsible for the leadership & coordination of pricing agreements which need to cover more than one branch or territory, with the objective of incremental sales margin amount through coordinated negotiation across all manufacturers & regions.
- Responsible for the leadership & coordination of contract or logistic agreement / implementation for business transition or expansion beyond the existing territory.
- Maintains information about customer inventory and buying processes by keeping account information in the database timely, resulting in accurate data for trend analysis.
- Reviews financial results and recommends adjustments to achieve growth and profit objectives.
- Assists in the development and support of strategic programs (MRP1/AIM) in order to enhance TTI's position within assigned accounts.
- Responsible to communicate identified trends and/or potential concerns within any of the assigned accounts involved teams, and initiate resolution activities.
- Participates in the TTI Total Quality Program by driving the importance of quality, ensuring the branch is following the defined processes, and identifying the areas of process improvement.
- Proactively collaborates with TTI Family of Companies seeking inclusion of all lines and products into designated accounts.
- Share the vision of TTI by upholding the mission and ethical business standards in every transaction.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a related field strongly preferred, with a minimum of 15 years of experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. What we look for:
