Catallia Mexican Foods is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician II with expertise in food manufacturing to join our team!
Shifts:
1st: 2:00pm - 10:30p.m.
(Monday - Friday, every other Saturday or Sunday)
2nd: 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. (Monday - Friday, every other Saturday or Sunday)
Position Overview
This is a hands-on position and will require the individual to troubleshoot, service, repair, and adjust automated equipment and building systems. This individual will be responsible for contributing to a consistent, safe, and productive work environment and adhering to operational and personnel policies and procedures. With a focus on the success of the overall operation, the individual will work closely with the maintenance team to handle repairs of automated equipment and other scheduled maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Contribute to an effective, predictive, and preventative maintenance program (including repair, modification, and installation of equipment) to improve production efficiency and ensure optimum machine time availability. This will include Robotics, Automated Processing Equipment, HVAC systems, Refrigeration Systems, and other plant operational systems.
- Regularly inspect plant facilities, production support systems, and equipment to support effective plant operation. Respond to "line calls" from production to assist with the uptime of the equipment.
- Will occasionally communicate and work with outside contractors.
- Maintain facility and equipment for safety (food and teammate) issues and respond appropriately.
- Contribute to a fully operational maintenance shop by communicating needs and keeping the area neat and organized.
- Communicate effectively with maintenance team members from other shifts to ensure clarity and continuity.
- Follow instructions as directed by the Maintenance Manager or a designee of the Maintenance Manager.
Additional Responsibilities
- Promote all plant safety, GMP's and food safety policies and procedures
- Actively participate in Food Safety and Food Defense related activities
- Perform additional duties as directed.
Basic Qualifications
- Must have 1-2 years of experience in maintenance mechanics, electricity and electronics with a Technical Certification, or 3-5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Must have strong working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 240V-480V equipment, basic wiring, outlets, and related electrical components.
- Must have experience troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, and PanelView/HMI systems; PLC programming may be performed only with proper authorization.
- Must be able to troubleshoot mechanical systems and basic electrical controls using a voltmeter, sensors, motors, and related equipment.
- Must have experience with building systems and automated equipment, along with a high mechanical aptitude.
- Must be proficient in equipment evaluation, installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Must have experience with automated food processing equipment.
- Must be proficient with a wide range of tools and applications.
- Must be able to identify problems and respond appropriately.
- Must demonstrate a commitment to process improvement.
- Must provide own basic hand tools (metric and standard).
- Must have TIG welding and fabrication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend throughout the assigned shift.
- Must be comfortable performing repetitive movements and tasks.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be comfortable working in a hot environment.
- Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a food production or bakery environment.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Position Backup
- Absences covered by other Maintenance Technicians as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or a designee of the Maintenance Manager.
