Your Job

John Zink is seeking capable welders who want to apply and expand their craft in our Tulsa manufacturing operation. This Welder III role offers experienced welders the opportunity to take on complex fabrication work, solve welding challenges, influence quality and process improvements, and share expertise with the team; candidates earlier in their careers who demonstrate strong fundamentals and can successfully complete the weld test are also encouraged to apply. You will produce high-quality welds on process burners, boiler burners, and related equipment in a safe, quality-focused, air-conditioned manufacturing environment.

This role is not eligible for VISA sponsorship.


What You Will Do

  • Perform welding on process burners, boiler burners, and fabricated equipment.
  • Complete welding assignments in accordance with approved welding procedures and quality requirements.
  • Interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
  • Verify weld quality and support inspection requirements.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, design, and engineering teams to meet customer and business objectives.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and operational standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and value creation.
  • Share welding expertise, support skill development, and provide practical guidance to other team members, as appropriate.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Welding experience gained through employment, vocational training, coursework, or hands-on practice in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Ability to perform work in accordance with welding procedures and quality standards.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment weld test.
    • 2G GTAW " Carbon plate welded from both sides
    • 2G FCAW " Carbon plate welded from both sides
    • 2G GMAW " Carbon plate welded from both sides

What Will Put You Ahead

  • ASME welding experience.
  • Several years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment, including work performed with limited supervision.
  • Multiple welding process certifications.
  • Experience working on complex fabrication projects.
