This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The hourly range the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $26.87 - $33.60.

Reporting to the Identity & Access Management Manager, the Campus Card Systems Analyst I supports the administration, maintenance, and day-to-day operations of campus card and access management systems at UC Merced, with a dual focus on card operations (CS Gold) and custom software development. This role assists in supporting student, faculty, and staff services across campus, including Dining, Housing, Parking, Student Affairs, Facilities, and other administrative units to help ensure reliable and secure system operations.

The Campus Card Systems Analyst I works closely with campus partners to provide technical and functional support, troubleshoot issues, perform routine system maintenance, and assist with system enhancements and integrations. The position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing skills in identity and access management, campus technologies, and enterprise applications within a higher education environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assists with the software and hardware setup, configuration, and support of campus card and access management, including CS Gold and related services that support Dining, Payments, and other campus operations. Works with campus partners to gather and document business and user requirements and helps ensure that systems function effectively to meet operational needs. Works with CSGold support to implement new features and enhance existing reports.
2. Applies foundational business and technical analysis skills to assist in identifying, documenting, and supporting system requirements based on established business processes and user needs. Supports the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of campus applications and technologies, while gaining experience with tools and technologies such as SQL, Java, Web Services (SOAP/REST), XML, Excel templates, workflows, SFTP, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions including CS Gold, Illumia, CashNet, Canvas, StarRez, and NuPark.

• AA Degree in related field.
• 1 year of related experience in the area of Campus Card, Lock and Access/physical access security management.
• Functional and technical design and configuration experience with some combination of the following CSGold Access Managment, CSGold Student ID, CSGold Platform.
• Understanding and skill in complex process and systems requirement documentation standards, such as Use Case modeling, User Story creations and narrative description.
• Flexibility to work independently with minimal supervision, or collaborate on a multi-disciplinary teams.
• Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals across the organization. Possesses the ability to explain technical concepts and information in a clear and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences while building positive working relationships with campus partners.
