Security Officer Lobby Attendant

As a Security Officer Lobby Attendant in Asbury Park, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a shelter location, you will remain a visible, welcoming presence while monitoring access, assisting visitors, and responding to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. This role offers the chance to deliver strong customer service, clear communication, and dependable support as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, assisting residents, guests, and staff, and supporting security-related protocols for the location.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or sign-in information, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries according to site guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Maintain detailed front desk logs, incident reports, and shift activity records to support security-related operations and continuity between shifts.
• Observe activity in the lobby and other assigned entry areas, report unusual behavior and/or policy concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access through a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
