JOB PURPOSE:

The Clinic Community Liaison will be responsible for recruitment of clients to the Military Family Clinic through outreach to community partners including veteran-service organizations, multi-service organizations, the Veterans Administration, and other local partners. The Clinic Community Liaison will also participate in peer-to-peer communication, presentations, as well as oversee the Life Skills Enrichment Program. Recruitment will focus on reaching veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. The Clinic Community Liaison will oversee volunteers, and interns to assist in achieving enrollment goals.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Establishing and maintaining partnerships with external stakeholders, as well as federal, state, and local agencies to understand concerns and gather information for drafting recommendations to improve the delivery of community mental health services.
  • Representing Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic to interested agencies, organizations, and community groups on community outreach and prevention/intervention through information sharing and creating partnerships.
  • Disseminating information regarding prevention/intervention programs and encouraging the use of best practices.


  • Initiating, developing, and conducting special events, workshops, seminars, and other meetings to educate, inform, and stimulate community program participation. Attend community events as a representative of the Military Family Clinic.





  • Coordinates and conduct classes, workshops, and demonstrations to teach principles, techniques, or methods in a variety of Life Skills. Position may also secure other community members to provide presentations and training.
  • Submits data to Salesforce and other platforms. Reports outreach efforts weekly to the Clinic Director and collaborate with clinical personnel to continuously improve the outreach process and other administrative duties.
  • Adheres to internal controls established.
  • Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:



EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred, with a minimum of 2 years' experience conducting a combination of life skills and outreach.



EXPERIENCE: 2 years in facilitating wellness activities, support groups, peer mentoring, life skills, and/or psychoeducational classes. Significant military experience. Prior experience in mental health outreach within community and/or veteran administrative organizations is preferred. Event coordination experience is highly desirable. Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Outgoing, pleasant, professional manner; the ability to create and maintain contacts in the community; and clear articulation in providing informative presentations about the Military Family Clinic.



ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion.



LICENSES: Driver's License with clear record.



VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.



OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Evening and Weekends may be required for attending outreach and networking events.
