Description and Requirements

The Security Compliance Analyst supports the development, automation, and continuous improvement of security governance, compliance, and reporting processes. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with strong technical and analytical skills who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and building solutions that improve efficiency and visibility.

Working closely with security, engineering, compliance, privacy, and legal teams, the analyst will help develop tools, automate manual processes, analyze data, create dashboards, and support security compliance activities. Success in this role requires curiosity, initiative, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

Security & Compliance Support

  • Support execution of security assurance activities, remediation tracking, governance reporting, and operational coordination across multiple security initiatives.
  • Assist with the maintenance of security compliance activities across products, services, and business processes.
  • Support the review and organization of security requirements, controls, and supporting documentation.
  • Help maintain traceability between requirements, controls, and evidence using established processes and tools.
  • Participate in assessments and reviews to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Assist with evidence collection, validation, and organization to support internal and external security assurance activities.
  • Learn security and compliance frameworks while supporting ongoing governance activities.

Process Automation & Development

  • Develop and maintain scripts, APIs, and automated workflows to streamline and improve operating efficiency for data collection, reporting, and compliance activities.
  • Identify manual processes and recommend technical solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support the integration of data from multiple systems to create centralized reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate with engineering and security teams to implement scalable solutions that improve visibility and operational effectiveness.

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Build and maintain dashboards that provide meaningful insights into security, compliance, and operational performance.
  • Support development of metrics and KPIs to measure program effectiveness and maturity.

Documentation & Operational Support

  • Maintain governance documentation including procedures, workflows, data source, technical solutions, process documentation, evidence inventories, and operational artifacts. Assist with evidence collection and organization for security and compliance activities.
  • Ensure documentation remains current, organized, and easily accessible.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with stakeholders across security, engineering, compliance, and operations teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work 1-on-1 and train users on technologies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks and proactively seek opportunities to add value.
  • Continuously build technical knowledge and share learnings with the team.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, MSSQL, JavaScript, HTML5, PowerShell, or similar.
  • Familiarity with APIs, data processing, automation, or software development concepts.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them to solve practical problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in technology, software development, cybersecurity, analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Internship, academic project, open-source contribution, or personal development portfolio highly valued.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Industry certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles or security risks and controls.
  • Experience with reporting, dashboards and data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or similar), automation tools, and governance, risk, compliance, or security assurance platforms is preferred.

The base salary budgeted range for this position is $65k - 75K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
