Position Summary

Job Description
The Digital & IT Analyst - Engineering Technology supports Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and external vendors to deliver, support, and continuously improve engineering technology solutions with a primary focus on engineering software licensing infrastructure, usage reporting and chargebacks, and supporting the server and endpoint access required for engineering applications. This role supports administration of license server environments, coordinates operating system and security requirements with infrastructure teams, and helps ensure reliable access, compliance, and reporting for engineering software usage in alignment with established standards and processes.

Position Summary
The Digital & IT Analyst - Engineering Technology supports engineering software license and licensing infrastructure management, including license server administration support, vendor coordination, network and endpoint access impacts, usage reporting, and allocation/chargeback support. The role also supports application management activities for engineering should-costing software and assists other Engineering application owners with infrastructure and back-office needs to help ensure stable, secure, and compliant delivery of engineering capabilities, escalating complex issues as appropriate.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

This role is subject to Export Control Restrictions (ITAR) and all applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee.

  • Support engineering licensing infrastructure and license servers (e.g., FlexLM), including configuration, renewals, monitoring, troubleshooting, and uptime.

  • Support usage reporting/analytics (e.g., OpeniT) for compliance, optimization, and allocation/chargeback.

  • Coordinate with Infrastructure/Security on OS standards, patching, hardening, vulnerability remediation, and access controls for licensing/app servers.

  • Support licensing vendors (cases, renewals, entitlements, and license delivery/validation).

  • Support network access needs/impacts (firewalls, DNS, routing, VPN, authentication, proxies) for license checkout and application connectivity; escalate broader design issues.

  • Support endpoint access constraints, including permissions, configuration, and compatibility guidance.

  • Assist with workstation/PC hardware guidance for engineering software performance and licensing needs.

  • Support engineering should-costing software (access, configuration coordination, integrations as applicable, vendor engagement).

  • Assist Engineering application owners with back-office/infrastructure needs (provisioning coordination, access reviews, certificates, scheduled jobs, monitoring, documentation).

  • Maintain documentation/procedures for licensing, reporting, access, and support; support reliability, compliance, and user experience improvements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Travel as required.



This position may be assigned to support the following disciplines, as needed

  • Engineering software licensing and compliance (FlexLM and other licensing technologies)

  • License usage reporting, optimization, and chargeback/allocation support (OpeniT or similar)

  • License server infrastructure administration (Windows/Linux server administration as applicable)

  • Engineering application access and connectivity (network/endpoint access impacts)

  • Engineering technology vendor management and renewals/entitlements

  • Engineering should-costing application support

  • Support for related engineering technology platforms and back-office/infrastructure services

  • Licensing/Certification: No professional licensure required; role supports licensed engineering software and related compliance requirements

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications and/or infrastructure in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment, with demonstrated experience supporting operational support activities.

  • Experience administering software licensing environments (e.g., FlexLM/FlexNet or comparable technologies) and supporting license server operations.

  • Experience with software usage reporting/analytics tools (e.g., OpeniT or similar) and translating usage data into actionable insights for compliance and cost optimization.

  • Working knowledge of server administration concepts (Windows and/or Linux), including monitoring, access controls, and coordination of patching and security activities with infrastructure teams.

  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional work across Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and external vendors; strong incident triage and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills; able to explain technical constraints and options to non-technical users.
