Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager (ISP) is responsible for leading large-scale data center infrastructure projects from planning through completion. This role oversees project execution, customer communication, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, quality assurance, and financial performance while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for customers, builds and maintains client relationships, identifies new business opportunities, and collaborates with internal teams to support operational excellence. This position also provides leadership through hiring, mentoring, training, and developing team members while ensuring compliance with established processes, safety standards, and organizational objectives. Travel throughout Texas and extended work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required based on business needs.

Job Responsibilities




  • Lead large-scale data center installation projects from planning through completion.



  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope of work (SOW), bill of materials (BOM), scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.



  • Manage project profitability by monitoring budgets, labor, materials, and project costs.



  • Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates and ensuring customer satisfaction.



  • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities.



  • Prepare accurate project estimates, quotations, and emergency service responses.



  • Coordinate procurement, material tracking, scheduling, and workforce allocation.



  • Collaborate with field teams, management, customers, and vendors to ensure project milestones and quality standards are achieved.



  • Conduct quality assurance inspections and oversee compliance with safety standards and installation requirements.



  • Participate in pre-construction meetings, project status meetings, and customer coordination activities.



  • Prepare complete and accurate project closeout documentation.



  • Partner with Human Resources to support recruiting, employee development, retention, and performance evaluations.



  • Mentor, train, and develop project teams while identifying opportunities for skill development and continuous improvement.



  • Promote a positive work environment through effective communication, leadership, and accountability.



  • Ensure compliance with company policies, project requirements, and industry best practices.



  • Perform additional duties as assigned.




Job Requirements




  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing telecommunications, structured cabling, construction, or data center infrastructure projects.



  • Experience leading large-scale structured cabling installations for enterprise or hyperscale data center environments.



  • Previous people management, leadership, and team development experience required.



  • Proven experience building customer relationships and generating new business opportunities.



  • Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including racks, cabinets, cage systems, containment, grounding, conveyance systems, and structured cabling.



  • Thorough understanding of construction practices, job site safety requirements, and security protocols.



  • Ability to interpret blueprints, site drawings, diagrams, and perform project take-offs.



  • Knowledge of cable standards, testing procedures, documentation requirements, labeling methods, and installation best practices.



  • Strong project planning, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and cost management skills.



  • Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.



  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time management abilities.



  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Primavera P6, NetSuite, and Procore.



  • Experience with Microsoft Visio, Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat is preferred.



  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.



  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and working in varying weather conditions.




Education




  • High School diploma or GED required.



  • Coursework or training in Electronics, Telecommunications, Construction Management, or Project Management preferred.



  • Industry certifications such as PMP, RCDD, or DCDC are preferred.

  • Position requires onsite work at office and customer locations throughout Texas.



  • Frequent travel to major cities within Texas is required.
