Project Manager - Mesa, AZ

My client is a leading general contractor recognized as a Top Place to Work by The Arizona Republic, a Best Place to Work by the Phoenix Business Journal, and a Best of Arizona Business general contractor. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects from start through closeout while building strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.

In this role, you'll oversee project financials, schedules, documentation, risk management, and client satisfaction while partnering closely with Project Directors, Superintendents, and project support staff to ensure successful project delivery. You'll also help mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Coordinators.


Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from construction through closeout.
  • Oversee budgets, forecasting, cost control, change orders, billings, subcontractor pay applications, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation in Procore.
  • Coordinate schedules and weekly look-aheads with Superintendents.
  • Lead and document OAC, subcontractor, and safety meetings.
  • Ensure permits, regulatory requirements, and project compliance are maintained.
  • Support project buyout, monthly reviews, status reporting, and financial close processes.
  • Assist with project interviews, proposals, and business development activities.
  • Build strong relationships with Owners, Architects, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams while delivering an exceptional client experience.


Qualifications

  • Construction project management experience with leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of project financials, scheduling, contracts, change orders, documentation, and subcontractor management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Viewpoint, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam preferred.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Ability to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and any project-required certifications or clearances.
