The Division of Rheumatic and Autoimmune Diseases at the University of Minnesota is a globally recognized leader in Rheumatic Diseases clinical research as well as fundamental science focused on the pathogenesis and treatment of all autoimmune diseases. The division maintains longstanding research collaborations with the Center for Immunology and participates in clinical care through the M Physicians practice and the Fairview Health System. Position Overview The University seeks a highly motivated physician-scientist to join a multidisciplinary research team focused on the development and maintenance of immune self-tolerance. This position emphasizes independent and collaborative basic immunology research with translation to humans having autoimmune disease, with opportunities for career development toward NIH funding and academic advancement. This role includes a combination of research and clinical care with a strong expectation of sustained scholarly productivity and leadership in autoimmune diseases research. Pay and Benefits: This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic effort of the person hired, and begins at $55,000. Total combined salary is anticipated to be in the range of $206,845-$240,127. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary is competitive with the market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
