Job Title: Facilities Technician II

Location: Jacksonville, FL 32209

Duration: 4 Months


Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs

Interviews: Required


Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Facilities Technician with 3 to 5 years of building maintenance experience to support the maintenance, repair, and operation of facility equipment and infrastructure. This role is ideal for a technically minded individual who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of building systems and material handling equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including:
  • Dock door repairs and maintenance
  • Door hardware repair and replacement (handles, locks, hinges, etc.)
  • Light bulb and fixture replacement
  • Faucet and plumbing fixture repairs
  • Preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and facility-related issues.
  • Operate and safely use maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Support facility upkeep projects and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment while following all company safety policies.


Preferred Qualifications:

3 to 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or a related field

Experience working on:

  • Raymond electric pallet jacks
  • Forklifts
  • Crown material handling equipment (MHE)
  • HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Ammonia refrigeration experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Hand tools, including wrenches and other maintenance tools
  • Ladders
  • Reach trucks
  • Scissor lifts
  • Electric pallet jacks
  • Other material handling and maintenance equipment as needed
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50-60 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical maintenance tasks throughout the workday.
  • Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Steel-toe boots

  • This is a highly technical, hands-on position requiring strong maintenance experience, mechanical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to support a variety of facility and equipment maintenance activities.
  • Candidates with experience in industrial maintenance, material handling equipment repair, HVAC, or refrigeration systems are strongly encouraged to apply
