What you'll do:

As a Senior Banking Operations Manager, you'll oversee operations team(s) and ensure that the client experience is a key deliverable as well as overall performance. You will further the development of the team's charter/responsibilities, consistent with the growth of the overall organization, and develop the talent and bench strength to support growth and complexity. You'll coach leaders in work priority, ensuring critical timeframes and process/controls are effectively met. In tandem, you'll work with the respective operational transformation teams and contribute to process and product change and the required resources needed to implement and support these initiatives successfully. In this role, you'll also provide risk oversight and risk mitigation by revising and implementing policy and procedural change, while maintaining proactive vendor operational/system monitoring, incident escalation protocol, business continuity planning and testing, and ensuring the teams remain informed and engaged. You'll work to consistently meet operational goals developed with business partners and to successfully monitor bank and vendor performance on behalf of both our clients and the bank's needs while managing ongoing operating transformation.
  • Lead and hold the team accountable for qualitative and quantitative results, adherence to policy and procedures, and proper documentation and recordkeeping. Monitor and report service level standards, notable trends, and other KPI's. Ensure accuracy of data sources and execute data-driven changes to drive performance.
  • Ensure 1st line of defense "FLOD" quality and risk controls are met and that regulatory and applicable industry/clearinghouse requirements are met. Act as point of contact with Audit, Sox and Compliance.
  • Provide technical and operational support and expertise on enterprise projects for internal partners. Execute adequate escalation for issues.
  • Pursue improvements in our operating efficiency, ability to scale, and team capabilities while ensuring expense control. Keep abreast of new technologies and applications and their implications for the assigned area.
  • Lead and develop a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.

What you'll need:

  • 7+ years of related experience in Banking Operations, Deposit Operations or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Previous leadership experience required; with proven success managing in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory, risk and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in unclaimed property processing, IRS Tax Reporting & Withholding, Project and Audit Management.
  • Advanced knowledge in designing, creating, and operational governance.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively with executives various stakeholders
  • Travel less than 10%
