The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program to assist men & women in their journey to complete our rehabilitation program. As our enthusiastic and hardworking Intake Coordinator, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

Intake Coordinator

  • Screen and assess applicants seeking program admission through in-person or phone interviews, review referral information, and determine eligibility.
  • Coordinate with referral agencies and obtain necessary background information to support admission decisions.
  • Refer ineligible applicants to alternative community resources and appropriate service providers.
  • Conduct new participant intake and orientation, explaining program services, rules, and expectations.
  • Complete admission documentation, obtain required signatures, and ensure participants understand all agreements.
  • Create and maintain participant records, including data entry in the BITS system, case files, and ID cards.
  • Assist with participant onboarding needs, such as clothing requisitions, inventory of belongings, dorm assignments, and scheduling appointments with counselors or chaplains.
  • Develop and maintain referral relationships through regular outreach activities and community engagement to sustain program referrals.
  • Represent the program at inter-agency meetings, conferences, and community events as needed.
  • Prepare reports and statistical data requested by program administration.
  • Maintain confidentiality of participant records and ensure compliance with HIPAA, CFR 42, and organizational requirements.
  • Provide cross-functional support by covering Program Aide responsibilities when needed.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Program Administrator.


The Intake Coordinator manages applicant screening, admissions, recordkeeping, participant orientation, community outreach, referral partnerships, and compliance activities to ensure smooth program enrollment and operations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:



  • BA in a Social Service field preferred
  • Two (2) years of verifiable professional related experience required
  • High School graduate or equivalent (GED) required
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, MSWord, Excel, and Access with ability to learn additional software as appropriate.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Professional judgment and integrity in holding in confidence all information pertaining to beneficiaries, families, and co-workers
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to work with diverse populations


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone.
  • Ability to lift to 30lbs
  • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks


Schedule

Work schedules are determined by Program Administrator and employee must be flexible to always ensure adequate support.
