Senior Consulting Manager
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a strategic, communications-minded Senior Consulting Manager to support our Frontier Innovation Response (FNR) directorate in a part-time, remote capacity with travel as needed.
- The ideal candidate will own the thematic framing and messaging for FNR's programs, products, and service offerings; build and steward the directorate's professional-development model; and serve as a trusted advisor who prepares senior leadership for high-stakes government and defense engagements.
- This role requires exceptional writing, sharp organizational instincts, and the ability to translate complex technical initiatives ,including our flagship Aura platform, into clear, credible, and compelling narratives.
- This role is Remote.
- This is a part-time billet. Scheduled hours will not exceed the applicable legal limit for part-time employment.
Job Description:
- Develop, refine, and maintain the core themes, messaging, and narrative framing for FNR programs, products, and service offerings, ensuring a consistent and defensible voice across internal and external communications.
- Design, implement, and maintain the FNR professional-development model that defines and reinforces the directorate's culture and advances a structured internal growth framework for team members.
- Continuously monitor and assess the health of FNR's organizational culture, reporting findings and actionable recommendations to leadership to sustain a high-performing, mission-aligned team.
- Advise senior FNR leadership and prepare them for external engagements by applying subject-matter-expert-level communications practices.
- Develop and maintain an engagement standard operating procedure (SOP) that captures intent, anticipates rebuttals, and pre-stages responses to likely scenarios, increasing the rate of positive engagement closure.
- Prepare briefings, talking points, and communications collateral in support of program milestones, stakeholder meetings, and business-development activities.
- Maintain an organized, accessible repository of messaging assets, engagement materials, and professional-development resources, and collaborate across teams to align messaging with program and business strategy.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent and at least 10 years engineering or business related experience.
- Must have extensive experience in high-level strategic communications and in directly supporting key leader engagements (KLEs).
- Must have demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, and translating complex or technical subject matter for varied audiences.
- Must have experience developing or administering professional-development, training, or talent-growth programs.
- Must have proven ability to advise, brief, and interface directly with senior leadership in high-stakes settings.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Department of War (DoW), national-security, or government-contracting customers, preferred.
- Familiarity with the defense technology-transition and acquisition ecosystem, preferred.
- Experience with organizational-culture assessment, change management, or internal-communications strategy, preferred
Security Requirements:
- An active security clearance is not required at this time; however, the candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a clearance up to the TS/SCI level should program requirements dictate.
- Must be a US Citizen with a valid Driver's License.
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 30% Travel, international and domestic, depending on program requirements. If the position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
