Team Overview

Global Fraud Solutions and Communications Solutions help TransUnion deliver trusted identity, fraud prevention, and communications capabilities to customers across global markets. The teams are responsible for driving solution strategy, operational execution, business performance, and cross-functional alignment across regions.

This team reports to the Senior Vice President, Global Fraud Solutions and Communications Solutions and partners closely with Product, Finance, HR, Markets, and other corporate functions to advance enterprise priorities and support continued growth. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

The VP, Strategy, Planning and Operations will serve as Chief of Staff and strategic partner to the SVP, Global Fraud Solutions and Communications Solutions, helping drive business planning, operational execution, executive governance, and leadership team alignment across a complex global organization.

  • Build and steward global prioritization processes and multi-year strategic plans across Global Fraud Solutions and Communications Solutions, ensuring alignment to enterprise priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and Chief of Staff to the SVP, providing thought leadership, decision support, and acting as a proxy when needed to represent business priorities and drive outcomes.
  • Coordinate forecasting and planning processes across global teams, partnering closely with Finance and Markets to refine plans, align priorities, and ensure execution readiness.
  • Develop and manage business operations processes and operating rhythms, including monthly business reviews, leadership meetings, executive reporting, Board and CEO reviews, and cross-functional governance forums.
  • Ensure effective information flow and communication across the leadership team and broader organization by synthesizing complex topics into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences.
  • Identify, anticipate, and mitigate business risks, gaps, and operational challenges, proactively addressing issues before they escalate.
  • Support execution of high-priority strategic and operational initiatives by collaborating with functional leaders to define plans, track progress, and ensure delivery against objectives.
  • Lead or coordinate cross-functional transformation initiatives, including ongoing business operations transformation within Fraud Solutions.
  • Support business integration efforts related to acquisitions within Communications Solutions, in partnership with Product Strategy and other functional leaders.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and other corporate functions to align workforce planning, organizational priorities, and resource deployment.
  • Optimize cross-functional ways of working, removing barriers and improving efficiency to help the organization meet or exceed its objectives.
  • Facilitate leadership team prioritization and alignment, ensuring focus on the highest-impact initiatives and clear accountability across teams.

Required Knowledge and Experiences

  • 15+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, consulting, or related leadership roles, including 5+ years supporting senior executives and driving executive-level decision-making.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a global, matrixed organization, with the ability to align regional and functional teams around shared business priorities.
  • Strong experience in strategic planning, business operations, forecasting, executive governance, and performance management, with the ability to translate strategy into operational plans.
  • Proven success leading large-scale transformation programs and cross-functional initiatives that require influence, coordination, and execution across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience acting as a Chief of Staff or equivalent strategic partner to senior leadership, including the ability to operate as a proxy, manage executive priorities, and drive leadership team alignment.
  • Ability to bring clarity and structure to ambiguous environments, manage through complexity and change, and proactively address risks or operational challenges.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships and drive outcomes without direct authority.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, operational excellence, business performance, and execution.
  • Advanced degree in a related field preferred; MBA preferred.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong executive reporting and business storytelling skills, with the ability to synthesize complex business topics into clear, actionable materials for senior leaders, the CEO, and Board-level audiences.
  • Advanced business planning, forecasting, and performance management skills, including the ability to partner with Finance and Markets to refine plans and assess execution readiness.
  • Strong operating rhythm and governance management experience, including monthly business reviews, leadership meetings, executive updates, and cross-functional forums.
  • Proficiency with business productivity and reporting tools used to support executive communication, planning, prioritization, and operational tracking.
  • Ability to analyze business performance, identify risks and gaps, and translate insights into practical recommendations and execution plans.

Pay Scale Information: The U.S. base salary range for this position is $193,500.00 - $406,500.00 *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion's annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
