Overview E2 Consulting Engineers is seeking a qualified Dual Coating & Welding Inspector to support Nicor Gas natural gas pipeline construction projects across Illinois. This specialized dual-certified role combines expertise in both welding inspection and field-applied coating inspection to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance on pipeline construction and integrity projects. The Dual Coating & Welding Inspector plays a critical role in verifying welder qualifications, welding procedures, weld quality, and coating application. This position requires strong technical knowledge of welding codes (API 1104, ASME B31.8) and coating standards, along with the ability to perform comprehensive field inspections across both disciplines.
