As a Detail Inspector, you'll have the responsibility of interfacing with customers to resolve day-to-day quality concerns, obtain masking approvals, clarifying production questions, and maintaining quality records.

What you'll do:

  • Perform inspections on incoming, in-process, and outgoing materials using inspection equipment, blueprints, specifications, customer purchase orders, and quality procedures.

  • Read and interpret material specifications while ensuring compliance with sampling and inspection requirements.

  • Interface with customers to resolve quality concerns, obtain masking approvals, and clarify production requirements.

  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to identify, resolve, and prevent quality issues.

  • Identify, report, and segregate defective or nonconforming materials for review and disposition.

  • Participate in customer, regulatory, and internal quality audits to support the Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement and a "Zero Defects" mindset throughout the organization.

  • Verify that inspection equipment is functional, properly calibrated, and suitable for use.

  • Maintain part integrity throughout the inspection process while accurately documenting inspection results.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in chemical processing, inspection, blueprint reading, and specification reading.
  • Minimum 2 years of quality assurance experience.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs unassisted.
  • Ability to sit or stand for at least 50% of shift.
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.

Desired Skills

  • Working in new process development is a plus.

  • Understanding and utilization of ASNE Y14.5 geometric dimension and tolerance principles.

  • NADCAP compliance internal auditing is a plus. AS9100 Lead Auditor certification is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills required for working directly with customers and with the Customer Service team.

  • Proficiency and knowledge in MS Office tools and ERP systems is required.

  • Ability to verify all processes have been performed correctly per drawing/work instructions and specification requirements.

  • Ability to resolve discrepancies in work instructions and work constructively in cross functional roles
