Description

This position is responsible for ordering, receiving, stocking, and distributing linen, supplies, and equipment throughout the department.

Maintains clean, organized inventory rooms and work areas while ensuring adequate stock levels are available to support operations.

Fulfills supply requests, prepares and stages orders for delivery, and accurately enters inventory data while creating and maintaining inventory records.

Conducts physical inventory counts and assists with inventory reconciliation.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Hourly Rate: $26.36/hour

Qualifications

*Strictly obeys the healthcare regulations for infection control.

*Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and facilitation skills with strong customer service emphasis.

*Consistently demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

*Actively participates in Quality Management and PIE programs.

*Demonstrated basic knowledge of materials management information system and other vendor software.

*Demonstrate the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

*Consistently adheres to Materials Management / Receiving and UCLA Policies and procedures.

*Attends all in-services/workshops as requested. Assists in the orientation and skill development of new staff members. Attends and participates in required fire, safety, disaster, body mechanics, etc classes and/or drills.

*Always ensures a safe, clean working environment for self and co-workers. Monitors and reports unsafe acts or conditions and assists with resolutions.

*Consistently maintains good guest relations interdepartmentally, intra-departmentally, using English language in both written and verbal format.

*Demonstrates good telephone etiquette. Is sensitive to co-workers, patients, and family members, in a courteous and respectful manner.

*Maintains a positive attitude and behavior: efficient with time utilization/productive, strives to be a team member, prompt attitude, adapts to change in workload, adapts to variable rotating shifts, conducts personal business on break or lunch time.

*Always responds to the needs of all areas. If unable to meet the needs, keep the area informed and offer alternatives

*Ability to perform heavy manual tasks, push/pull heavy linen carts up to 400 pounds and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

*Will actively assist in meeting the needs of the department.
