Who We Are:

For more than a century, L'Oreal has devoted its energy, innovation, and scientific excellence solely to one business: Beauty. Our goal is to offer each and every person around the world the best of beauty in terms of quality, efficacy, safety, sincerity, and responsibility to satisfy all beauty needs and desires in their infinite diversity.

At L'Oreal Professional Products, our mission is to support hairdressers and develop the hair industry sustainably and lead the digital transformation of our industry with a customer-centric approach. Our brand portfolio includes L'Oreal Professionnel, Kerastase, Redken, Matrix, Biolage, Mizani, L'Oreal Technique, and Pureology.

Redken is the #1 brand in the professional hair category in both Pro and Consumer channels, leading in Haircolor, Styling, and Haircare. Redken has a complex distribution ecosystem across SalonCentric, Amazon, Ulta, Chain Accounts, and D2C Ecom. The brand has 3 separate categories - Haircolor, Haircare, and Styling - all of which hold the number one position in the pro market. Redken is the largest spender in the industry in Media and ranked #1 in the market in terms of advocacy metrics.

What You Will Do:

You will be accountable for the accelerated growth and strategic development of the Redken Haircare + Styling portfolio, which encompasses key haircare pillars and the styling portfolio. Additionally, you will be responsible for a key strategic retail growth initiative that will span across the entire Redken Retail business (inclusive of new pillars and future innovation): the Holiday Program (assortment mix, pricing management, and animation). You will have one direct report - a Manager - who will partner on the outlined needs to achieve success in the role.

This role requires a dual-lens approach: driving professional authority in the salon channel while simultaneously commanding the consumer landscape, which includes partnership with major retailer partners Amazon, Ulta, and D2C. You will lead the strategy, implementation, and performance evaluation of the business across SalonCentric and key consumer channels.

As the Haircare + Styling lead, you are responsible for the comprehensive marketing ecosystem - from product innovation and promotional calendars to consumer advertising and media planning. You will lead the development of 360-degree marketing strategies that build brand equity and drive market share. You will collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners including Sales, Operations, Finance, Education, Brand Engagement (PR, A&I, Social), Creative, Global Marketing (DMI), and CDMO (Media) to ensure seamless execution. Additionally, you will monitor and analyze business results to identify opportunities for optimization.

Business Lead for Redken Haircare + Styling

  • Omnichannel Strategy & Growth: Lead the execution and development of clear brand-building plans aligned with divisional objectives. This includes owning the 3-year marketing roadmap, new product launches, and communication strategies. You will serve as the architect for growth across both professional distribution (SalonCentric) and key consumer retail partners (Amazon, Ulta, and Redken.com). Building a strong relationship with your sales account manager counterpart will be key to driving favorable outcomes for the brand, retailer, and consumer.

  • Consumer Channel Management: Drive the strategy for D2C, Amazon, and Ulta, ensuring a cohesive brand presence that maximizes traffic and conversion. Oversee the unique merchandising, assortment, and promotional needs of these high-growth consumer channels while maintaining professional brand integrity - including continuing our #1 Treatment Brand position in the market and building Hero SKUs.

  • Work closely with Haircare team members and cross-functional teams to execute initiatives that resonate with both stylists and end-consumers.
  • DMI Partnership on Future of Brand: To ensure future growth, your ability to partner and create a shared vision of Redken Haircare will be key. This includes providing quantitative and qualitative feedback on what is needed for Redken US to win market share over the next 3+ years across content, product, and whitespace opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure all launches are delivered on time and on budget. Strive for executional excellence across all marketing initiatives, from supply chain coordination to creative asset delivery.

  • Communication & Influence: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to sales teams, distributors, and retailers across new launches and marketing moments. Interface with key salons and stylists to maintain a pulse on professional trends and competitor activities.

  • Market Intelligence & Analytics: Conduct marketing research and analyze market segments to identify portfolio gaps, influencing future innovation proposals from Global partners (DMI). Provide Senior Management with regular quantitative and qualitative reports on campaign performance and launch results.

  • Portfolio Management: Set pricing strategy and lead SKU rationalization efforts to ensure a profitable and efficient portfolio. Report and prepare business overview needs for key leadership management meetings.

  • Competitive Strategy: Deeply understand market share dynamics in both professional and consumer hair markets. Identify whitespace opportunities to gain share and outperform competition across the haircare landscape.
