Overview

Supports the operational and administrative functions of the Health Plans Quality department, including vendor oversight activities, invoice and billing coordination, laboratory data operations, reporting, and special projects. Serves as the primary coordinator for laboratory and hospital laboratory data collection activities to support quality performance initiatives, regulatory reporting, and operational goals. Works collaboratively with internal stakeholders, provider organizations, hospitals, laboratories, and external vendors to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient operational support for quality programs. Works under general supervision.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinates day-to-day operational activities for the Health Plans Quality department to support quality improvement initiatives, vendor management activities, and departmental priorities. Maintains tracking tools, timelines, and operational workflows to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Collects, tracks, analyzes, and prepares operational and quality-related reports, dashboards, summaries, and documentation related to laboratory data collection, vendor performance, invoicing, and special projects.
  • Maintains departmental tracking systems and databases related to laboratory outreach, vendor activities, invoice reconciliation, and quality operational initiatives. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data and documentation.
  • Supports Quality leadership with operational project coordination, including tracking project timelines, deliverables, action items, and follow-up activities for quality initiatives and special projects.
  • Coordinates meetings and communications with laboratories, hospitals, provider offices, vendors, and internal stakeholders related to quality data collection and operational initiatives. Prepares agendas, meeting materials, and follow-up documentation as needed.
  • Supports vendor oversight activities including invoice tracking, billing reconciliation, purchase order coordination, and monitoring of vendor-related operational processes. Assists leadership in ensuring timely processing and resolution of billing and payment issues.
  • Attends meetings as assigned, takes, formalizes and distributes notes/minutes, and follows up to ensure new assignments/projects are completed.
  • Conducts operational research and data analysis related to laboratory result acquisition, quality program operations, vendor performance, and regulatory or operational reporting needs. Identifies trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Drafts and coordinates operational communications with hospitals, laboratories, providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding quality data requests, documentation requirements, operational follow-up, and project activities.
  • Leads and supports special projects related to Quality Operations, including process improvement initiatives, data collection efforts, vendor coordination activities, and operational support for enterprise quality initiatives.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, health, or a related discipline or the equivalent work experience required
  • Master's Degree in healthcare administration, public health, or related discipline preferred

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare operations, quality management, managed care, provider operations, healthcare analytics support, or related operational support role required
  • Strong organizational, operational coordination, analytical, and communication skills required. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments and external organizations required
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database/reporting tools required. Experience managing operational tracking spreadsheets and data reconciliation required
  • Knowledge of healthcare quality operations, managed care, provider data workflows, laboratory coordination processes, or healthcare operational support functions preferred. Familiarity with Medicare Advantage quality initiatives and healthcare data collection processes required

Pay Range

USD $66,300.00 - USD $79,800.00 /Yr.
