The Mueller Lab at UCSF focuses its efforts on developing new therapies for children with brain tumors. The purpose of this Staff Research Associate (SRA) position is to engage in ongoing clinical and preclinical research in collaboration with UCSF and global colleagues in the field of pediatric neuro-oncology.

Learning, performing, and teaching in vitro and in vivo experimental protocols to investigate the biology of pediatric central nervous system (CNS) tumors

Clinical sample processing - including blood, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), or tumor tissues following surgical resection for establishment of new tumor-organoid and cell line models or clinically-informative drug testing

Regular record-keeping the of experimental design and results

  • BA/BS in a related science and knowledge of, or experience with, the basic techniques or methods required by the position; and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Prior education in molecular and cellular biology as well as training in commonly associated experimental protocols
