Fidelity Technology Services, LLC, is seeking Full and Part MH-60R pilots for a Contractor Instructor (CI) role supporting pilot training in the MH-60R simulators for its Program at NAS North Island, San Diego, CA.

Qualifications necessary for the role:

Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS) pilot of the MH-60 aircraft within the preceding five (5) years. A CI must have a minimum of one (1) fleet tour and eight hundred (800) flying hours in the Navy Undersea Warfare capable H-60, and a Bachelor's degree.


Certifications necessary for the role:

Successfully complete the MH-60R NATOPS open book, closed book and boldface exams and annually renew qualifications with the FRS. CIs shall demonstrate understanding of MH-60R: missions; crew procedures; tactics; Light Airborne Multi-Purpose System (LAMPS) MKIII shipboard systems, Fleet Replacement Pilot (FRP)/Fleet Replacement Aircrew (FRAC) syllabi and curriculum change forms.


Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct scheduled CI led/supported training for Simulator, Training Device and Systems Training (including briefs and debriefs) using traditional and modern tools such as interactive white boards, computers and video projector systems.
  2. Evaluate student training/mission performance as required.
  3. Provide classroom instruction and recommendations for improvement, to include tests and test materials, lesson plans, and trainee guides under the guidelines of current directives.
  4. Provide academic instruction to include Instructor led lecture discussion for Crew Resource Management (CRM), Instrument Ground School (IGS), etc., and self-paced Computer Aided Instruction (CAI) and Computer Based Training (CBT) in support of courses required for each platform.
  5. Assist with simulator and training device inspections and certification programs and other special projects, as required, to include mishap re-creation and testing.
  6. Conduct training device operation instruction to personnel as necessary, to include instruction on briefing, debriefing and grading/assessments.
  7. Other weapons system specific support responsibilities, as listed in appendices.
  8. Evaluate and record trainer performance IAW established criteria.
  9. Maintain, assess, and recommend improvements to mission scenarios for effectiveness and currency.
  10. Review curriculum, assess and recommend improvements to the training program via the appropriate training management officials.
  11. Perform as NATOPS Instrument Evaluators and Assistant NATOPS Instructors (ANI).

Collateral Duties may include:
  1. Management of Contractor Personnel.
  2. CI training and maintenance CI training currency/standardization.
  3. Instructional material coordination and handling (check-in/out)
  4. Instructor preparation for scheduled instruction
  5. CI meetings (i.e., Contractor scheduled meetings)
  6. Maintaining currency of CI documents/reference instructional materials (NATOPS Flight Manual (NFM) and NATOPS Pocket Checklist)
  7. Maintaining currency and implementing required reading information as specified by the COR (e.g. Command Plan of the Day and Required Read Board)i.
  8. Completion of grading each student training event, as required
  9. Documenting trainee attendance and training accomplishment
  10. Evaluating and recording trainer/equipment performance established criteria.
  11. Providing assistance in the validation of training device/equipment Maintenance Action Forms (MAFs).
  12. Training, testing and evaluating CIs for certification and training currency maintenance.
  13. Complete an annual Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) administered Standardization, NATOPS Open and Closed book exams.
  14. CIs shall also be responsible for the general cleanliness and normal housekeeping services of assigned spaces and their immediate work areas.
