Summary:
The Gift Shop Cashier performs or assists with a range of tasks associated with the operation of the POS system in the Gift Shop. Providing service to team members and guests in a hospital-based Gift Shop. This role is performed under the supervision of the Gift Shop Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

* Organizes and maintains a clean and efficient work environment for effective use and customer satisfaction within the Gift Shop.

* Cleans and sanitizes Gift Shop equipment, surfaces, and work areas.

* Operates point of sale (POS) and cashiering equipment and software to ring up and sell goods in a friendly manner, demonstrating organizational values.

* Assists with stocking and display of products sold within the Gift Shop.

* Maintains compliance with regulatory and training requirements. Promotes a safe, clean, and secure environment for all customers, including the application of standard precautions and principles of infection control.

Required

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Experience working in a retail or healthcare environment.

* Experience as a cashier or with point of sale (POS) software.
