Pay Grade Temporary Position Summary The CPS Energy Internship Program is designed to meet the industry's rapidly changing workforce needs by providing San Antoniocollege students an opportunity to be paired with a mentor to acquire meaningful hands-on experiences that expands their understanding of the industry and exposes them to essential skills they must acquire or develop to succeed. The internship is designed for the intern to learn to perform in a work environment and understand the rationale behind the strategies used.Applicants mustresidein the San Antonio Metropolitan area and are currently enrolled in school or recently graduated to qualify. A successful candidate will demonstrate foundational exposure to business intelligence and statistical analysis, supported by basic, entrylevel experience with SQL. They should have introductory familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI and show early experience in working with relational databases, reporting platforms, or applying statistical methods to analyze data. This role is wellsuited for students building their technical skills through coursework, projects, or internships. Fall 2026 Internship Cohort Application deadline: 6/19/2026 Location: CPS Energy headquarters 500 McCullough Ave., San Antonio, TX 78215 Current college transcript is required for the application* Tasks and Responsibilities Ensures project results meet goals of CVI initiativesregardingtechnical quality, reliability, andmaintainintended improvement impacts. Monitors project performance and recommend changes, adjustments, follow-up, resource additions or other actions to maintain improvement results. Plans, directs and coordinates activities to identify initiative improvements to ensure we are meeting the customers' needs. Coordinates and conducts initiative reporting, analysis and track to internal stakeholders. Coordination with engineering, technical processes and managed accounts to ensure successful completion of projects and technical performance. Creates and designs reporting utilizing data from various systems such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx to understand and track impacts of improvement initiatives Analyze data and reporting from initiative tracking to identify if initiative is meeting the intended goals and targets. Develop and implement program adjustments to redirect underperforming initiatives. Provides technical assistance and recommendations to managers or project initiative owners Minimum Skills Minimum Knowledge and Abilities Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must be currently enrolled in a related discipline. A minimum GPA of 2.5. Must currently reside within 120 miles of CPS Energy Headquarters. Demonstrated leadership potential. Self-motivated and results oriented. Exceptional communication skills. Effective networking skills. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate an interest in a career applicable to the utility industry. Participate in full-time employment with CPS Energy. Attend all activities sponsored by CPS Energy during employment.
