SENIOR LOGISTICS MANAGER

LOCATION: Washington D.C.

JOB STATUS:Full-time; salaried

CLEARANCE: Secret clearance required

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Logistics Managerproviding support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center-Ground Base Air Defense Sensor Division (AFLCMC/ESG).

The ESG Division manages efforts focused on developing, acquiring, fielding and sustaining programs that support worldwide communications, Battle Management, Command & Control, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C2ISR), Air/Ground Surveillance, Time Critical Targeting, Combat Identification, Radar Imagery, Integrated Air/Missile Defense, and Mobile/Fixed C2ISR Performance, Exploitation & Dissemination Facilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
  • Clearance: Must have an Active Secret Clearance
  • Years of Experience: 15+ years of related experience with 8+ years of DoD related experience

    • Logistics Metrics Analysis (Supply, Reliability, Maintainability, Availability)
    • Requirements Management and Traceability using DOORS
    • RFP Development, SOWs, CDRLs, and Technical Documentation
    • Configuration Data Analysis (CDA)
    • Source Selection and Acquisition Strategy Support
    • Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) Compliance
    • Capability Development Documentation (CBA, ICD, CDD, CPD)
    • Test and Evaluation (T&E) Planning and Documentation
  • Interpersonal Skills
    • Ability to lead complex projects with minimal supervision

    • Strong communication and coordination skills across functional teams

    • Capable of presenting logistics strategies and advising senior leaders

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Identify requirements for funding, manpower, materials, facilities, and services to support program plans and ensure timely support.

  • Collaborate with material support and product support managers to maintain comprehensive logistics plans, including joint-service and coalition coordination.

  • Develop and execute life cycle logistics plans to ensure smooth product transition to Air Logistics Complex Centers.

  • Identify and mitigate sustainment challenges, especially in the Configuration Data Analysis (CDA) domain.

  • Coordinate functional specialists to meet program logistics requirements on schedule.

  • Provide logistics analytical support for key metrics such as supply, reliability, and maintainability, and present findings in program reviews.

  • Assist in acquisition and sustainment strategy planning IAW DoD 5000.2 guidance.

  • Develop acquisition documentation supporting all phases of the program lifecycle.

  • Provide expert logistics inputs for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and technical specifications.

  • Prepare program management documentation, including Business Case Analyses, Trade Studies, and DoD 5000.02 milestone documentation.

  • Create logistics planning documents such as Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSPs), and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources plans.

  • Support engineering studies, integration activities, and readiness reviews for production and deployment.

  • Contribute to Test and Evaluation (T&E) strategies, Integrated Test Team charters, and related documentation.

  • Assist in developing Capability-Based Assessments (CBAs), Initial Capability Documents (ICDs), and Capability Development/Production Documents (CDDs/CPDs).

  • Maintain requirements traceability using tools like DOORS and provide data visualization support for requirements documentation.

  • Develop draft CONOPS, technology assessments, and acquisition opportunity reports aligned with warfighter requirements.

  • Support source selection activities, acquisition strategies, and evaluation documentation.
